Roslyn has been the President of the Community Council since 2006. During this time she spearheaded all community activities and took the council all the way to the United Nations Headquarters in New York to participate in the Commission for the Status of Women for two consecutive years. She is very passionate about the state of the environment and the welfare of women and girls and advocates for every citizen to be more responsible when disposing of their waste.
Yashoda Singh
Yashoda is an environmental and social entrepreneur who was inspired to join the Council in 2015. She is one of the founders of the Recycling Programme and believes that to affect change in the world, it must be at the community level. She champions the active engagement of youths who are the driving forces of all of their initiatives. Her philosophy is that we all need to inspire, pray and encourage resourcefulness and imagination, if we are to enjoy a healthy earth
Julia George
Julia is a 14 year old secondary school student who is determined to see significant changes in the way plastics are disposed of in her country. She has always participated in clean-up and other environmental activities as it is her view that everyone’s involvement can make the difference.
